Here are my opinions on each app:Īxis360: I'm not fond of it because the margins are too big and sometimes the night function (white text, black screen) malfunctions and it's painful to read at night. I sometimes use the Adobe Acrobat reader app when I have a pdf of a book (but it's rather painful). I use Play Books and Amazon Kindle for purchased books. In my experience, this issue only occured to some device.I use Overdrive, Axis360, and cloudLibrary for my library books, depending on where the book is available. As workaround, we can simply restart the app, but for me it breaks the reading experience. There is a bug where Koreader freeze if you put your Android device to sleep when Koreader still running. In my case, I think it's dirtied my folder so I don't really like it. It generates sdr directory in your ebook location for each book that you read, which used for storing cache, configuration and your last page for each book. It's not available in Play Store so you have to download it manually from the website or from F-Droid.įor first time user, it's quite hard to configure. I kind of like it though, because it let me focus on reading. It's designed with e-ink screen in mind, so the UX is a bit stiff since there are no animation or transition at all. There is a smart reflow for PDF document, and it's really good.Īlso available in Kindle and Kobo, so if you have plan to use dedicated ereader in future, you can carry on your configuration. The default styling is good, and we can modify almost every styling manually, per book.
